Hello everyone, we have decided to finally reveal what we have been planning for the last couple of months: our ambitious project for 2012, aptly named AMBITION 2012.
We came up with several ideas on how to get even more involved in the awesome Ottawa indie scene. One way we thought of was to create 12 different projects over the year, each of them with different characters. And to challenge ourselves even more, we were going to put a time limit on everything from writing it at the begining of the month, to filming it, to being released by the last day of the month, vlogging, blogging, etc etc etc.
All of these things are possible, but then we were thinking, we actually wanted to also do a web series on top of that (how ambitious is that?). Well... how do we incorporate all of these ideas?
We have decided to release at minimum 12 projects this year. We aren't necessarily going to be releasing them at the end of each month, but we are committing to a minimum of 12. In those 12 projects, we are going to include a 5-6 episode web series. If we end up doing more, that's great. If we don't, that's cool too. The important thing is to work and collaborate with all the great people available in Ottawa/Gatineau, helping each other out and creating at least 12 quality projects by year's end. Some of these projects will be written by Derek Price, and some will not. A couple might be for festivals, some will be personal projects. We'll see, because it's still as much a mystery to us!
We have already begun pre-production for two of the projects. The first one is a comedy written by Mike Horrigan, the second is a drama by Derek. The web series is being written as well, and we are beginning to look at casting for the large amount of roles that are involved in it. This is on-going and will likely take until the end of 2012 to complete.
We look forward to growing along with the Ottawa film community amd hope to get the chance to meet new people and build on the relationships we have already established. Ottawa is so full of talent, we feel extremely lucky to be part of it.
As always, you can contact us if you want to be involved.
Here's to 2012, may we not be overwhelmed with our ambition and fail miserably.
Peace out, Frost!
